Half price for Possum Springs

This Night in the Woods Steam deal is the easy kind: the US store has the game at $9.99, down from $19.99, a 50% cut. Price checked on 7 November 2026 (UTC), and Steam’s page carries no end date, so it could change without notice. Grab it on Steam if it’s been on your list.

Mae Borowski is a college dropout who comes home to Possum Springs, a crumbling former mining town, hoping to pick up her aimless old life and reconnect with the friends she left behind. Her friends have grown and changed. The leaves fall, the wind gets colder and strange things start happening as the light fades. Steam’s description leaves the hook to one line: there’s something in the woods.

Four animal characters stand in dark woods beside an orange glow, with a speech bubble reading 'If anyone's gonna ruin your night, Mae, it really should be you.'

A small team and a Kickstarter

It’s an adventure game focused on exploration, story and character, with dozens of characters to meet. Infinite Fall, a team-up of Alec Holowka, Scott Benson and Bethany Hockenberry, made it after a successful Kickstarter, and Finji publishes. It launched on 21 February 2017 and has a PC Metacritic score of 88.

The hardware ask is modest. Minimum on Windows 7 is an Intel i5 quad-core, 4 GB of RAM, Intel HD 4000 graphics and 8 GB of storage, and the game also lists Mac and Linux versions. Steam shows full controller support.

We think $9.99 is the right price for it: half off a story-first adventure is an easy amount to risk on one.
