Ninety percent off a party game

The For The King Steam deal is the kind we click through on sight: Steam’s US Daily Deal has the turn-based co-op roguelike at $1.99, down from $19.99, a 90% cut. That was the live price on the morning of 6 November 2026 (UTC).

It is a strange, charming mix. IronOak Games’ strategy RPG blends tabletop-style dice rolls, JRPG-style turn-based combat and roguelike runs, and Steam lists single-player, local co-op and online co-op. You can split the party to cover more ground or stick together, which is exactly the sort of argument a four-player evening needs.

What the two bucks buys

Steam’s page says the game includes all released expansion content, naming Dungeon Crawl, Frozen Expanse Adventure, Gold Rush Un-Cooperative Mode and Into The Deep, plus more. Every run uses procedurally generated maps, quests, loot and events, and you spend Lore between runs on weapons, items, classes and more. Steam shows a Metacritic score of 79.

The hardware ask is gentle too: Steam’s minimum spec is 4 GB of RAM, 3 GB of storage and an old GeForce 8800 GTX-class card. It is also listed for Mac and Linux, with full controller support.

Our view and the clock

We think this is an easy yes for anyone with friends and a free evening: the price is a tenth of list, and the game is built for sharing a table, real or virtual. If you want another co-op fix, Collection of Mana at $15.99 packs three RPGs, and Dead by Daylight at $7.99 on Steam is another cheap way to fill a group chat. For a longer haul, No Man’s Sky at $23.99 is the pricier bet.

Daily Deals rotate, so re-check the price on the For The King store page before you buy; if it has snapped back to $19.99, we would wait for the next sale.
