A fair cut with a deadline
Resident Evil Requiem is $48.99 on Steam’s US store, 30% off its $69.99 list price, until Tuesday 3 November at 18:00 UTC (10:00 a.m. PT, 20:00 SAST). It’s Capcom’s survival-horror release for Windows, out since 26 February 2026, and we think this is a price to act on rather than watch. Price checked on Steam on the morning of 1 November 2026, SAST; deals can change.
Steam shows an Overwhelmingly Positive user rating across more than 109,000 reviews in all languages, and the store page lists a Metacritic score of 92. That’s enough for us to pay $48.99 now rather than gamble on a bigger cut. We can’t see the game’s price history from the store page, so we won’t call this a low, and we can’t say whether anything deeper is planned.

Mind the edition
The Deluxe Edition is $55.99 against a $79.99 list price, also 30% off, so it costs $7.00 more than the standard game. Steam says it includes the full game plus the Deluxe Kit: five costumes (two for Grace, three for Leon), two screen filters, four weapon skins, two charms, an audio pack and a set of files called Letters from 1998. Steam notes the kit’s items can be bought individually, so check your library before you buy twice. If you only want the game, the standard edition is the one that matches our headline price, and we wouldn’t pay extra for cosmetics.

Specs, DRM and the demo
Steam lists Windows 11 (64-bit) and 16 GB of RAM at both minimum and recommended, a GeForce GTX 1660 6GB or Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB at minimum, and says an SSD is required. The game uses Denuvo anti-tamper, with a limit of five different PCs within a day for machine activation. A demo is available too; Steam’s 22 June 2026 news post says it covers the opening stages. Capcom fans weighing a back-catalogue pick can also see our Resident Evil 4 remake deal, which we flagged for before 3 November.

Our call: if Requiem is on your list, take it at $48.99 and stop watching the clock. Steam’s page says the offer ends 3 November. If you want a different scare while you decide, our Sons Of The Forest deal is flagged for before 2 November, so that one is even closer to its deadline.
