A launch discount worth taking

The VOID/BREAKER discount is live: Stubby Games’ bullet-hell roguelite FPS left Early Access with its 1.0 release on 4 November 2026, and Steam’s US store lists it at $17.99, 40% off $29.99. The Steam page says the offer ends 18 November.

What you get for $18

Steam describes VOID/BREAKER as a fast-paced bullet-hell roguelite FPS in which you fight machines driven by a hostile AI and try to escape an endless cycle. The pitch rests on three things: quick gunplay and movement, a gun-modding system for building weapon variants, and environmental destruction that the store page calls a core gameplay mechanic, with walls and structures you can blast through.

Each run asks you to choose which fights to take and whether to go for a dangerous route with bigger rewards or play it safe. It is a single-player game with Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud, and it is made by one developer, Daniel Stubbington, known as Stubby Games. His earlier game was the Portal-inspired puzzler The Entropy Centre (2022). Playstack publishes.

Is it worth it at $18?

English-language user reviews on Steam sit at Very Positive across 2,070 reviews, and the recent reviews are also Very Positive, though that sample is only 67. The game has been in Early Access since 19 August 2025, and the 1.0 launch brings this 40% cut. Our view: $17.99 for a shooter built around replaying runs is an easy yes if the screenshots and the gun-modding hook appeal to you, and we’d wait only if you want to see how the 1.0 build settles first.

It is not a demanding game on paper. Steam lists a GTX 970 or Radeon R9 290 with 8 GB of RAM as the minimum, 14 GB of storage, and an RTX 2070 or Radeon RX 5700 XT with 16 GB as recommended. It is Windows only on Steam.
