What Rockstar has actually dated
The GTA 6 PC release date question still has no official answer. Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto VI site, checked on 4 November 2026, markets Grand Theft Auto VI as coming November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with pre-load called out from November 10. There is no PC SKU, no Steam page, and no PC day on that hub.

| Pre-load from 10 Nov 2026 | Shown on Rockstar VI page | Official |
| PC release date | Not announced | Official silence |

Rumour vs pattern — keep them separate
Outlets including The Verge’s write-up and Polygon’s summary have relayed a GamesBeat tip that a Windows version could arrive in Q1 2027. That is attributed to anonymous industry sources — not a Rockstar Newswire post, not a Take-Two earnings line naming a day, and not a store listing. Treat it as a rumour until one of those appears.
History is not a schedule. GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 both reached PC months after consoles, which is why people expect a later Windows build — but Rockstar has not committed to repeating that gap for VI. Anyone selling “GTA 6 PC keys” today is not selling a product Rockstar has put on sale.
This piece is only about the calendar. Hardware guesswork belongs in our separate GTA 6 PC requirements guide — Rockstar has published no official PC minimum or recommended specs either, so requirement images circulating on social are still unverified.
- Want it on day one: that means a PS5 or Xbox Series console on 19 Nov 2026 per Rockstar’s site.
- Waiting for PC: keep the wishlist empty until Rockstar or Take-Two names a window.
- Buying a GPU “for GTA 6 PC”: fine as a general upgrade, not as a response to a dated PC SKU.
For a contrast case where a storefront date is settled, see how we handled a live Steam stamp in the Ace Combat 8 release-date note — that is the bar a GTA 6 PC listing would need to clear.
Storefront noise will get louder as November 19 approaches. Wishlist pages, fake Steam DB entries, and reseller PC editions are not confirmation. The bar we are waiting on is boring on purpose: Rockstar Newswire, a Take-Two line that names PC, or a first-party store listing with a date field.
If you already own a gaming PC, nothing about today’s calendar requires a panic upgrade. Console-day settings rumours and fabricated requirement slides will keep circulating; they still are not a substitute for an official PC ship window.
Our take
As of 4 November 2026 the honest GTA 6 PC release date line is: not announced. Console day is real; Q1 2027 PC chatter is still reporting. We will update when Rockstar or Take-Two puts a PC window in writing.
