Cheaper CPU, free cooler
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is $444.00 new at Newegg, down from $506.99 on the same page (12% off). Newegg is also adding a free Cooler Master Elite Liquid 240mm AIO and AMD’s Onimusha game bundle as a “limited offer.” It’s sold and shipped by Newegg with free US shipping.
For comparison, AMD’s own US store lists it at $479 with Onimusha: Way of the Sword, but no cooler. Newegg’s used listing sits at $439.99, which we wouldn’t take for a $4 saving.
Why this one beats a plain price cut
The 9800X3D ships without a cooler, so a 240mm AIO is money you’d spend anyway. Labs still recommend it for gaming, as our Ryzen 7 9800X3D review roundup shows, and $444 plus a free AIO is a better total than AMD’s own store is offering.
We think this is the version of the deal to take if you’re building or moving to AM5 this month. AM5 is a safe platform bet right now, with AMD gaining ground even as the market shrinks, as its record 34.9% desktop share showed.
- The cooler and game bundle are listed as a limited offer with no end date, so check they’re still in the cart before you pay.
- US pricing; tax isn’t included.
- We haven’t seen a lower new price at either store today, but we’re not calling it an all-time low.
