Labs put it ~30% up on the 4070 Ti — street price was the real boss fight.

Pros

  • ~+30% vs 4070 Ti in TechPowerUp suites
  • 16GB GDDR7 / DLSS 4 feature set
  • Quiet custom coolers praised on partner cards

Cons

  • Launch street prices far above MSRP
  • No FE; partner lottery for value

Strong 1440p card with DLSS 4 upside

Consensus score: 88, derived from launch-window lab conclusions (TechPowerUp custom-card reviews, Tom’s Hardware coverage) that treat the $750 MSRP class as a strong 1440p/entry-4K card with DLSS 4 upside, dinged for street-price chaos at launch.

Nvidia positioned the 5070 Ti at $750 with 16GB GDDR7 on a 256-bit bus. TechPowerUp’s February–May 2025 custom reviews (MSI Ventus, ASUS TUF OC, PNY Epic-X and others) repeatedly cite roughly +30% over the RTX 4070 Ti in raster and competitive RT versus last-gen, with board-partner coolers deciding noise.

Who the labs say should buy

Buy if you want Nvidia features (DLSS 4 multi-frame generation, Reflex, Broadcast) at the performance tier labs place near or slightly ahead of a 9070 XT in RT-heavy suites — and you can actually pay near $750. Wait or look at AMD if street prices are still scalped; TechPowerUp’s PNY conclusion explicitly called out $1100 scalping and empty US shelves in May 2025.
