One headset, three systems

The ASTRO A50 Gen 5 deal is a straightforward $40 cut: Logitech G’s US store has the LIGHTSPEED wireless headset and base station at $259.99, down from $299.99, as part of its Holiday Head Start sale. The listing shows it in white and in stock, and it gives no end date for the offer.

The reason to pay this much is the base station. Logitech’s PLAYSYNC Audio lets the headset connect to three gaming systems and switch between them with a button press, whether that is a PS5 open-world game, a PC strategy game or Xbox matches with friends. You plug your consoles and PC into the base station with USB-C. The listing says it works with Xbox, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch / Switch 2.

Sound and voice are covered too. Logitech lists PRO-G Graphene drivers and a 48 kHz microphone that it calls broadcast-quality. Those are the maker’s claims.

Who should take the $40

Our view: if you only play on one system, a wireless headset at this price is hard to justify. Weigh it against how reviewers rated Razer’s Barracuda V2 Pro or our look at Corsair’s HS80 v2 MAX before you spend. If your desk and your TV both have a console or PC plugged in, the PLAYSYNC base station is the feature that earns the $259.99.

Free shipping and 30-day returns are listed on the page. Price as of 5 November 2026; deals can change.
